Water Resources

We have significant experience in Water Resources, within Scotland, the UK and also overseas. This includes:

• Provision of technical support for water resources software development (specifically for the Aquator modelling platform);

• Providing specialist consultancy and sub-consultancy support to deliver water resource modelling projects;

• Provision of technical training in rainfall-runoff and systems modelling software and methods;

• Provision of resource assessment and CAR license mitigation for complex hydropower proposals;

• Assessment of flows and yields for aquaculture and hydropower abstraction including climate change assessment;

We have around 15 years experience with the Aquator Water Resources software, but capability also extends to the use of spreadsheet models as well as bespoke models developed within R and Python.

We have a broad range of experience with the Aquator Water Resources Simulation platform. This includes the provision of development advice and build testing to the software developers as well as the application of the software for a wide range of modelling applications.

We use bespoke models, developed in Excel, Python on R to simulate long-term hydropower operation for CAR license authorisation or variation as well as for energy modelling and performance optimisation.
