Flood Risk Assessment
We undertake Flood Risk Assessments including:

-
Pre-purchase due-diligence;
-
Flood Risk Assessments for campsites, new industrial developments, domestic housing, aquaculture and others;
-
Post-flood reviews.
Some background on what we do is shown below but if you have a bespoke flood risk assessment requirement please let us know.

Flood Risk Assessments can take a variety of forms from simple site observations and desktop reviews to more detailed modelling using site acquired topographic survey and hydrological/hydraulic modelling.

We always aim to explain the proposed approach and risks associated with any study at the outset as there is no guarantee that development will meet planning policy.

Post-flood reviews help understand the mechanisms of flooding and can help home and business owners understand the likely frequency of such flooding. These can be required by insurance companies.

The work involves ascertaining the extent and damage associated with a specific flood event and placing this within the longer-term flood history to understand the likely frequency of such events.
